The team introduces itself
The Academy Génération Foot, created in 2000 by M. Mady Touré, Founding President, has benefited from the long partnership with the FC Metz, French professional football club signed in 2003, to experience a rapid growth from the lower divisions to the first league. It holds now 2 titles of Champions of Senegal in League 1 obtained in 2017 and 2019, and 2 titles of Cup of
Senegal in 2015 and 2018.
Senegalese football stars such as Sadio Mané, Ismaela Sarr, Diafra Sakho, Pape Matar Sarr etc, have made their first steps in the Academy. Today they became a very good example for the younger brothers in the Academy.
Their U19 team is very excited to attend the Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup™ and have the privilege
to represent the Academy at the tournament. Being an African team to participate in this tournament alongside European clubs with experience is more than a
privilege as it gives players opportunity to compete with foreign clubs.
Their U19 team has won the Cup of Senegal in the season 2021/2022 with a very good record of participation in the national Championship as well. A group of players that loves football and
likes to show a charming style of play allowing them to brilliantly win the trophie of the 5th edition of U19 Mohamed VI tournament in Rabat, Morocco last February, following a nice
qualification to the finals after a memorable victory over Real Madrid team. That experience made them want even more international competitions helping them grow their talent according
to the new FIFA Talent Development Scheme that enhances youth football skills development.
This very U19 team also has many international players who have been regularly selected in the U15, U17 and U19 Senegalese national teams.
During the Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup™ Tournament they will be eager to pay attention to the following players with high potential TOURÉ Alpha Amadou, FAYE Serigne Saliou, DIARRA Djibril, SANE
Sadibou, CAMARA Kalfara, SY Alassane, TRAORÉ Famady.
They strongly believe that wherever they play, they will proudly represent Génération Foot, participate with enthusiasm and fair play because the Académie has always taught them values of hard work, rigor and discipline.
