The team introduces itself
The start of the 2021/22 season in the Promotion League last August was not as successful for the U21 of FC Basel 1893 as had been anticipated, but the team managed to react quickly to the setbacks and start a winning streak that ultimately led to a place in the top four of the table in late autumn.
This high point was again followed by a longer period without a win, but then the team took off on the offensive. What followed was a correction of extreme proportions: on the last matchday of the regular championship, coach Michel Renggli’s team managed a superb 3:2 victory in Cham. The Basel juniors ultimately managed to never lose faith in themselves, despite many setbacks this season.
With this same team spirit, the team wants to compete in the international Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup™ in Zurich and is already looking forward to the tournament and the opponents.
