The team introduces itself
The U19 team of FCO St.Gallen, led by head coach Marco Hämmerli, assisted by Thomas Waser and Begat Bushati, and rounded out by goalkeeper coach Carlos Silva and physiotherapist Nele Leemans, is proving to be a real force in the national championship this season. Through dedicated performances, they have successfully worked their way into the top half of the table, thereby proving their competitiveness at the highest level.
What particularly distinguishes this team is the remarkable team spirit, passion for the game, and fighting spirit that drives them week after week. These qualities are reflected not only on the field but also in their daily training and interactions with each other.
Another key to this team’s success is the talent embedded within the ranks of the players. The U19 team possesses individual skills that enable them to handle many challenging situations. Yet, besides talent and technical skill, they are also distinguished by strong mental resilience, which allows them to remain calm and focused during crucial moments.
The team’s good development is reflected not only in their position in the championship table but also in their continuous improvement both as a unit and as individual players. Under the expert guidance of head coach Marco Hämmerli and his assistants Thomas Waser and Begat Bushati, they work hard to enhance their skills and realize their full potential. In doing so, they set ambitious goals that go beyond current success and aim for continuous improvement.
A highlight for the team is participating in the Blue Stars FIFA Youth Cup, where they will have the opportunity to compete against the best teams and showcase their skills. This challenge will not only test their skills but also provide a valuable experience that will advance their development as footballers and as a team.
